In January 2019, the Joint Secretariat of the Interreg Europe program approved the Regional Action Plan of the Regional Development Fund of Western Macedonia which was drawn up in the context of the implementation of the project ECOWASTE4FOOD. The project “ECOWASTE4FOOD: Supporting eco-innovation to reduce food waste and promote a more efficient economy by making better use of available resources” is a project that aims to tackle the critical problem of food waste through the exchange of experiences, the improvement of regional policies and the promotion of eco-innovation in the project’s participating regions.
