Brief project description:

Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) facing serious financial difficulties in surviving
and growing

The project’s main objective is to contribute to European competitiveness and accelerate regional economic development by improving policy instruments related to entrepreneurship and support for business creation. This includes specific measures and tools to avoid the “loss of entrepreneurial potential” by supporting SMEs’ ability to participate in the development of regional, national and international markets.

Through the implementation of regional action plans, REBORN will contribute to Investment for Growth and Jobs and European Territorial Cooperation programmes, improve the competitiveness of SMEs facing difficulties, and strengthen measures to address the stigma experienced by entrepreneurs in financial distress or at risk of bankruptcy.

For the first time at regional level, the project will prepare a dedicated policy instrument for the Region’s SMEs facing serious financial difficulties that hinder their ability to remain competitive in the market, given the complete lack of support from systemic banks.

Project implementation provides for the establishment and operation of a Stakeholders Group involving organisations that develop and implement relevant policies or provide advice, together with representatives of the private economy & advisory services in the sectors concerned.

In light of the above, we invite you to the opening technical information meeting for a more detailed presentation of the project and to explore your participation in the Stakeholder Network.

Following the meeting, please submit your proposals concerning the project in writing and indicate your intention to participate in the network by appointing two members, one regular representative and one alternate. Please also send any relevant material that you consider useful for project implementation.

The technical meeting will take place on Friday, 13 October 2017, at 11:30, in the Megas Alexandros hall on the second floor of the Region of Western Macedonia building in the ZEP area of Kozani.

Please confirm your participation.

The President of the Board
