INVITATION
The Regional Development Fund of Western Macedonia invites you to participate in the Third Working Meeting of the Stakeholder Network for the interregional EPICAH project, “Effectiveness of policy instruments for cross-border advancement of heritage”, funded by INTERREG EUROPE, on Thursday, 24 May 2018, at 09:00, at the Regional Development Fund of Western Macedonia headquarters (ZEP Building, Kozani).
Meeting agenda:
- Detailed planning of the study visits in Kastoria and Prespes as part of the transnational meeting of EPICAH project partners in Western Macedonia on 5 & 6 June 2018.
- Discussion of the good practices to be presented during the study visits.
Your participation in the Western Macedonia Stakeholder Network and its meetings is particularly valuable and important for the successful implementation of EPICAH and for highlighting critical regional planning issues in culture, the environment and tourism.

EPICAH aims to improve policy instruments for protecting and promoting Europe’s cross-border natural and cultural heritage through an exchange of experiences and good practices among organisations with substantial experience in developing strategies, projects and actions in this field.
EPICAH’s main challenge is to mobilise resources and develop policy supporting projects and actions that preserve, protect, promote and enhance cross-border natural and cultural heritage, with a view to strengthening the tourism appeal of cross-border areas.
The exchange of knowledge and experiences among partners and stakeholders will help address this challenge by developing proposals for new actions under current cross-border programmes, in future calls, or even proposals for a new framework for INTERREG programmes in the next programming period.
In this way, regions will improve the management of their natural and cultural heritage and add value to it through a shared approach to developing tourism activities.
