The Regional Development Fund of Western Macedonia / Region of Western Macedonia and stakeholder representatives of ECOWASTE4FOOD, which is included in and co-funded by Interreg Europe, attended the stakeholder meeting held on Friday, 25 May, at the Fund’s offices in Kozani.
The meeting aimed to review project activities implemented so far, assess the results of the cross-visits attended by the Regional Development Fund of Western Macedonia, and present and evaluate the results of the cross-visit to Western Macedonia. It also presented the first draft action plan for the Region, developed from the experiences gained through interaction among stakeholders across the programme and the good practices they apply. Dialogue at this and subsequent stakeholder meetings will finalise the plan’s actions, with the ultimate aim of integrating them into the Western Macedonia Regional Operational Programme and funding investment in food waste reduction in Western Macedonia. During this meeting, key parameters were already redefined and new directions provided for redesigning and specifying the plan’s actions.
