Digital technologies are giving Europe new ways to preserve and share its cultural memory. However, the lack of common standards, limited access and low participation of diaspora communities make it difficult for everyone to participate.
The WALKING MEMORY project gives voice to local communities by combining digital memory walks, simple storytelling tools and modern technologies. Its aim is to make cultural heritage more open, accessible and useful for all, contributing to a more inclusive and sustainable Europe, through cooperation and training of municipalities, cultural institutions, researchers, small businesses and diaspora communities, strengthening social cohesion, intergenerational dialogue and innovation.
