PRESS RELEASE — Kozani, 9 October 2026
An information event on the programme “Installation of Heat Pumps for Heating and Cooling in Western Macedonia” will take place on Friday 16 October 2026 at 18:00, at Aiani Municipal Office.
The event is intended for residents of Aiani and the surrounding area, as well as any interested member of the public, engineer or technician. It aims to explain clearly the available funding, participation requirements and online application process.
The programme, with a total budget of €12,135,000, is funded by the European Union through the Just Transition Fund and by national resources, under the “Just Development Transition” Programme. Depending on the applicant’s income category, it provides a subsidy of up to 100% for the installation of heat pumps in homes, with the option of including thermal insulation and/or photovoltaic systems for self-generation and storage.
Applications are submitted online from 28 September to 30 November 2026. The programme covers the main residence of individuals who hold a right in rem over that property. A technical adviser is required to submit an application. The specific restrictions applicable to areas with natural gas or district heating networks are explained in detail in the Programme Guide.
The presentation will cover eligible measures, the supporting documents required, the role of the technical adviser, funding rates and the specific restrictions set out in the Programme Guide. A discussion will follow, during which participants’ questions will be answered.
The Regional Development Fund of Western Macedonia invites local residents and professionals to attend, so that they can gain a comprehensive and reliable understanding of the opportunities offered by the programme.
