The Regional Development Fund of Western Macedonia announces that a dedicated information session for the Presidents of Local Communities in the Kozani Regional Unit will take place on Friday 9 October 2026 at 12:00, at the Fund’s offices in the Western Macedonia Region building at ZEP, Kozani.
The session follows a request from the Association of Local Communities of Kozani. Its purpose is to provide the Presidents with reliable information about the programme “Installation of Heat Pumps for Heating and Cooling in Western Macedonia”, enabling them to share comprehensive information with residents of their communities.
No registration is required.
The programme, with a total budget of €12,135,000, is funded by the European Union through the Just Transition Fund and by national resources, under the “Just Development Transition” Programme. Depending on the applicant’s income category, it provides a subsidy of up to 100% for the installation of heat pumps in homes, with the option of including thermal insulation and/or photovoltaic systems for self-generation and storage.
Applications are submitted online from 28 September to 30 November 2026. The programme covers the main residence of individuals who hold a right in rem over that property. A technical adviser is required to submit an application. The specific restrictions applicable to areas with natural gas or district heating networks are explained in detail in the Programme Guide.
The session will cover the main conditions and stages of the application process, eligibility requirements, the role of the technical adviser and the programme’s specific provisions. The Regional Development Fund of Western Macedonia invites the Presidents to attend and help share this information with their local communities.
