Invitation to 4th Living Lab Workshop Meeting, on: Policy Strategies and Policy makers engagement in the Region of Western Macedonia

Honorable Ladies,

The Regional Development Fund of Western Macedonia is going to carry out the 4 LIVING LAB Workshop meeting with subject  “Policy Strategies and Policy makers engagement in the Region of Western Macedonia – Capitalization Policy review”,  with participating agencies of the Region of Western Macedonia, in the context of project implementation  Green and Resilient European Excellence Network for Smart MED SMEs and Acronym GREENSMARTMED of the Interreg Euro – MED Program

The aim of the project is to create a European community (Greece, Spain, Italy, France and Bulgaria) that will be able to adopt innovations for a green and resilient production chain, where RIS3 can be applied and SMEs will be provided with opportunities for a sustainable business development. Through the project, the appropriate conditions will be created in order to strengthen working groups in the 5 sectors of interest, (machinery, textiles, plastics, mobility – batteries, with a greater emphasis on agro-food – cheese and wine sectors. In addition, through the produced toolbox of the project, they will promote the proposed ideas for the development of innovation at regional and European level. Finally, they will contact and interact with actors from other regions in order to create a wider regional group aiming at common strategic interest.

H 4n Workshop meeting Living Lab, on the subject: Policy Strategies and Policy makers engagement in the Region of Western Macedonia – Capitalazation Policy review  is carried out with the aim of developing an active dialogue on the issues of policy development, with representatives of the public sector, at local and regional level, with members of organizations, Chambers, Academic community, active in the Region of Western Macedonia. In the more specific case of the 4th Living Lab Meeting, GREENSMARTMED policy issues can focus on promoting sustainable development and the transition to a low-carbon economy. These recommendations can include strengthening policies that facilitate green infrastructure, improving financial incentives for green investment, and strengthening education and training on sustainability and the circular economy. Specific focus areas include climate action, energy transition, environmental protection, circular economy and green industry.

 

We would like to invite you to the 4th meeting of the Living Lab Living Lab, on the subject: Policy Strategies and Policy makers engagement in the Region of Western Macedonia – Capitalazation Policy review with participating agencies of the Region of Western Macedonia, within the framework of the European project GREENSMARTMED, on 12 May 2026, at 12.00am, organized by the Regional Development Fund of Western Macedonia in Kozani, for a short presentation.
