General information on the REBORN project
Title: Strengthening entrepreneurship & competitiveness by supporting small and medium-sized enterprises facing financial difficulties.
Summary:
The project’s main objective is to help avoid the “continued loss of entrepreneurial potential” by supporting, as far as possible & within the project’s specifications, the ability of SMEs & self-employed people facing serious operational difficulties to remain active in business & their professions. REBORN seeks to provide horizontal support to those facing significant difficulties and to strengthen strategies & measures that can be adopted regionally to address the stigma experienced by entrepreneurs in financial distress or even at risk of bankruptcy.
For the first time at regional level, the project will prepare a dedicated policy instrument for businesses and entrepreneurs in the Region facing serious financial difficulties that hinder their ability to remain competitive in the market, also taking into account difficulties obtaining support from the banking system.
As part of REBORN, cooperation was pursued and initiated between the Regional Development Fund of Western Macedonia and the project Network for Early Warning and for Support to Enterprises and Second Starters (EWE).
In light of the above, we invite you to the Stakeholder Network meeting with the following agenda:
- Update on the progress of REBORN
- Information on the Third International Thematic Workshop to be held in Kozani on 11 & 12 April 2018
- Update and discussion on developments in cooperation with IME GSEVEE for the EWE – Early Warning Europe project
- Partners’ good practices & their potential connection with the Regional Action Plan
The meeting, organised in cooperation with the Technical Chamber of Greece – Western Macedonia Section, will take place on Friday, 30 March 2018, at 18:00, in its Steering Committee meeting hall on the first floor at Bousiou & Estias Streets, Kozani.
Immediately afterwards, at 19:00, a special thematic meeting with broader participation of organisations will examine the synergy between REBORN and the EWE (Early Warning Europe) project implemented by IME GSEVEE. It will explain in detail how cooperation between the Institute and the Region of Western Macedonia will be implemented and clarify the extent of interested organisations’ involvement.
Please confirm your participation.
