Dear ladies and gentlemen.
The present research is carried out by the Regional Development Fund of Western Macedonia, on behalf of the Region of Western Macedonia, in the context of the project EPICAH “Effectiveness of policy tools for cross-border heritage promotion” funded by the European Programme INTERREG EUROPE.
It is addressed to the Region and the Municipalities of Western Macedonia, their Organizations and/or Businesses, to the Public and Wider Public Sector bodies of Western Macedonia (University, Development Companies, Ephorates of Antiquities, etc.), as well as to non-profit organizations (associations, NGOs, AMKE) active in Western Macedonia and aims to:
- in recording needs and proposals for new actions/projects for the next programming period 2021-2027 in the fields of tourism, culture and environment, as well as in recognizing their degree of maturity,
- in the recording of important project proposals in the fields of tourism, culture and environment that are in the process of evaluation, integration, implementation and/or were completed with the utilization of other financial tools beyond the PEP during the current programming period,
- in the initial recognition of good practices in the context of projects implemented and/or being implemented in the context of the current programming period (2014-2020), and
- in capturing the operators’ perception of the effects of the pandemic crisis on tourism in their region, as well as the opportunities in the post-pandemic crisis era.
